Marriage on 'Life support'

Marriage is dying. Yes , its true marriage is loosing its importance among the youngsters today. An institution which has been in existence since anybody can remember is finally loosing its ground . Majority of youth doesnt believe in marriage nowadays. They believe in living in relationship . Well everybody is free to make his own choice but why is it that the youth is not believing in marriage anymore.

Is it that they are running away from the responsibility thats attached with marriage or are they just looking for physical relations and no commitment . When asked, majority said that they are not sure whether the person they like is the right one. Well the couples whose marriage has been most successful also didnt had any clue about there future . But they went for it. Yes there are couples whose marriage was a disaster, but you cant know what a chocolate tastes like unless you eat it .

Living in relation looks good , but in the long run i dont think it works . What about having kids. And if you have kids what if one of the partner says that he or she is moving out because now he likes someone else and is going to move in with the new found love . Then what happens to the kids . They will have to live either without there father or mother .

Many say we need to know each other well before getting married, so we are living together . I really cant say how many of those couples actually end up getting married . According to me even a lifetime is less to know eachother .

Some ask whats there in marriage . Well marriage is a wonderful institution . Yes , its a huge responsibility but nothing can be better than this. You are attached to one partner for whole life , you stay together even in the worst of times . Any problem of yours or hers becomes a common problem . When ever you are down and out your partner makes you feel better . You plan your life together , you see the ups and down of your life together . Having children is the most wonderful feeling . Its like being born again . Moreover marriage makes you responsible . One knows that he or she has to take care of the family . It makes one loyal too . Even in the worst crisis of your life when all your friends have left you in lurch its your life partner who stays with you and makes you strong and motivates you to fight the crisis .

Institution of marriage has been in existence since ages , it must be a great institution thats why it still exists . You can never find a perfect man or a woman . Nobody is perfect . But the imperfections of each other makes you stay together for life . How , well you fill the imperfectness of your partner with your perfectness in that area and vice a versa . Like you may be a very impatient man , and your wife having loads of patience , so you fill each others imperfectness with your perfectness . Thats what marriage is , fillling the void in each others life .

It doesnt mean that you just get married to anyone, ofcourse you have to make a choice who is made for you but you have to compromise a bit too. Life is not a bed of roses . But one can pick a bed with less thorns and more roses .
